Chodavaram

Chodavaram is a town in the Visakhapatnam area in the Indian territory of Andhra Pradesh. 

The first name of the town was Chola Varam. The Chola line (300 BC to 1279 AD), around then leaders of Tamil Nadu and beach front Andhra Pradesh, established Chola Varam as an outskirt present in transit on the Gajapathi kingdom of Orissa. In 1941, Chodavaram had a populace of 8,379.
